Curiosity for visual engagement is the driving force of Biswajit’s work. He mostly loves to work on gestures through portraits and figurative representation. He is working on sound and its impact on human life through gestural reactions. He prefers his canvas to express the space with a variety of elements like colours, lines, textures and contours to showcase the wide possibilities of the sound (in its various forms, noise, howl, honk, tinkle etc.) to have an impact on us. He takes sound as an inspiration, as he feels it has great strength as silence to move us psychologically. This particular quality would help both him and the viewers to absorb his conceptual compositions.
