My series of paintings titled ‘OPUS’ are an abstract representation of cityscapes.

The views from the land and sky, travelling around the world are the inspiration for my work. The experiences of interacting with different communities, people, understanding their varied lifestyles and perspectives contribute to the essence.

The cityscapes create a colorful mosaic of points that highlight the scenes and ambience. Shapes emerge in a dream-like world as I play with colours and imagination, leading to abstract elements on the canvas. Use of overlapping layers of colours, some in forms and some formless, trying to find a balance amongst each other.

Each canvas is a journey in itself, I embark on each work with abundance of thoughts, emotions, learnings and discoveries of thoughts, emotions, learnings, and discoveries. As I tread along the path, I surrender. The more I submit, letting go of my conscious self, the sub-conscious takes over.
