Sutanu is an extremely reclusive artist, illustrator and painter.
Most of his paintings create spaces which blur the conflicts between real and magic, beauty and sadness, earthly and ethereal.

Heavily inspired by nature, through it is used only as visual element to describe a certain state of mind. Often a solitary figure is seen enveloped by this natural/emotional landscape.
An animal or bird is usually used to portray a friend or beloved.

This sense of haunting ambiguity is created by putting together layers and layers of patterns and colours in various mediums.
