Hanumanth Rao's

Hanumanth Rao's work is an interpretation of his experiences of a quiet journey into a deep musing towards a world of ecstasy and elation – his meditations. The art work is the result of stabilising those layers of constantly moving images which reside in the far reaches of his mind onto the canvas. The process he adopts is intense: and the execution, intricate. With layers of colours and lacerations. The idea for him is to create an image that is pleasing, calming and that transports the viewer into a meditative state of mind.

The artist calls his work Vaishvanara from the family of geometry and symbolism and born from the Sanskrit term of "the Abstract". The concept is related to aatma, or the individual soul. Derived from the words Vishva meaning "Universe" and Narah means "Man" it translates as "Universal Man".
