After a successful 23-year banking career, artist Shukti Singh Roy bravely hit the ‘reset’ button. The allure of numbers and boardrooms gave way to a profound exploration of her passion for ceramics and art.
Beyond the confines of business cycles, she sought patterns in the malleable nature of clay. The transformation from an amorphous lump to a tangible idea, the dance of trial and error with glazes, and the anticipation of opening the kiln became a source of profound enrichment. Ceramics became her medium to communicate change, champion environmental causes, and contribute to social causes. Her artistic focus on bees, rickshaws, architecture, and landscapes reflects a purpose-driven commitment.
