Ram Kumbhar's journey as a sculptor began in a small village, rooted in his family's rich tradition of pottery. Witnessing his first major public sculpture ignited his passion for sculpting, leading him to pursue it professionally. To achieve this, he initially turned to painting to gain acceptance into JJ School of Arts' sculpting program. Ram's sculptures vividly portray the stark contrast between rural and urban lifestyles, reflecting on the differing mindsets and approaches. Influenced by his earthy upbringing, he uses mixed media such as brass, steel, fiberglass, and copper to bridge these worlds, embedding strong narratives within his works.
