It is the search for what can at least partly be attained by being detached from all the material aspects is at the centre of Pradip’s paintings. On one hand, man tries to maintain his existence by attaching himself to the material aspects of life. On the other hand, he ignores his mere physical existence only to attain something beyond his material longings. All Pradip’s art focuses on this dichotomy of human existence.
Pradip Sau has completed his Master of Visual Arts from Rabindra Bharti University. He has done 4 solo shows in Art Folio Gallery, Chandigarh; Triveni Art Gallery, New Delhi; Icon Art Gallery, Hyderabad and Karnataka Chitraka Parishath,Bangalore. He has taken part in group exhibitions in India like Birla Academy of Art and Culture, Kolkata; Synagogue Art Gallery, Kochi; Chola Sheraton, Chennai; Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai; Lokyata Art Gallery, New Delhi. He has taken part in shows abroad like Biennal 2013, Rochester Museum, New York; Art International by Boxheart Art Gallery, Pittsburg, USA.
