Based in Madhya Pradesh which is home to one of the earliest examples of humanity’s efforts at art (cave paintings), it is hardly surprising that Shivani Dubey’s work blends traditional themes with modern motifs.Dubey’s paintings bring to mind a precise progression which has its roots in the cave paintings of central India. The elements and beings participating in the procession of time, depicted in her paintings, have lost their original forms and acquired a metamorphosed state of existence.
