Between the Forms
Between the Forms is an exploration of what exists beyond the visible—of the spaces between what we see and what we feel, between what we know and what we cannot yet understand. It is in these in-between spaces, often overlooked and unnamed, that the most profound connections can emerge.
A form is never simply a form. It carries memory, emotion, identity, history, and possibility. It can be physical or imagined, fragile or enduring, defined or constantly changing. Forms shift, fracture, overlap, disappear, and return. They exist not in isolation, but in relation to one another—shaped by everything they touch and everything they leave behind.
The artists’ works brought together in Between the Forms inhabit these moments of transformation. They explore the threshold where one thing becomes another: where order meets chaos, where silence meets expression, where the familiar becomes unfamiliar, and where absence can feel as powerful as presence. Through material, movement, colour, texture, space, and gesture, the artists ask us to look beyond what is immediately visible and to embrace what lies beneath the surface.
The exhibition also invites us to reconsider the boundaries we create—between self and other, certainty and doubt, structure and freedom, the tangible and the intangible. These boundaries may appear solid, yet they are constantly shifting. What separates us can also connect us. What seems empty can hold meaning. What appears unfinished may simply be in the process of becoming.
Ultimately, Between the Forms is an invitation to pause. To look again. To feel before defining, and to wonder before understanding. It asks us to recognise that meaning does not always exist within the form itself, but often in the space between one thing and another.
For it is in these spaces—in the uncertainty, the tension, the silence, and the possibility—that we may discover something unexpected: a connection, a memory, a new way of seeing, or perhaps a part of ourselves.
